When starting a new project, you choose the size, and resolution of your project, then can begin importing photos. The first thing to do is pick a background. There is a choice of ready-made backgrounds, a selection of photo-album style backgrounds and some textures. There is no option to import your own background, but you can always import an image of your own an use it like a background.
Importing your photos is easy, and once they're in there is a range of perspective effects you can add, you can re-size them as you want, and right clicking on them lets you rotate, or move forward or back in the image.
Professional looking collages will not be achieved with this, and it is missing a few features that is really should have. Making a collage in real life would mean lots of cutting out bits of photos, and yet with Photo Collage Maker, you can't do this. The rotate tool doesn't let you move the photos manually, which it really should in 2008.
